Building a Milaap clone in 4 days using React
Team Methane, which is our team name was given a task to replicate the Milaap website within 4 days. Basically, we had to clone a website called milaap.org. Milaap is an online crowdfunding platform that enables anyone across India to raise funds for healthcare, education, sports, disaster relief, and other personal causes, with great ease. So let me tell you how we cloned it. We were a team of 3 consisting of me with my other 2 team members. We had to face many challenges as this was our first time collaborating as a team and we had to work remotely, so communication was a key factor in determining the success of the project. The first day went in brainstorming on what features we should implement and assigning which feature each one would handle. The second and third days went in bringing the project to life and as you guessed it the fifth day was the deadline for the project submission.
The front end was built using React js and a JSON server was used to persist the data. The features we implemented were the login and register feature. On successful login, you will be redirected to the home page where you can see all the structures. We have added the cart feature where you want to complete the fund and completed fund added into the cart page.
The most challenging part of working on this project was to merge each feature into a single main branch and resolving the conflicts that were arising while doing so.
In today’s time and age working remotely and collaboration is a very important skill for any software developer to have so these were the skills we were able to imbibe
These are some snapshots of what we have done
